Death Rite was a Sydney based fanzine from late 1988-1991. Covering mainly thrash, death metal, grindcore & crossover from across the globe through the era of tape trading, letter writing and fanzines.

Over the course of the zine we interviewed/covered a diverse set of bands – Morbid, Nihilist, Hellwitch, Bloodcum, Demolition Hammer, Soothersayer, Sindrome, Morbid Angel, Virus, the Stupids, Nocturnus, Benediction, Autopsy, Righteous Pigs, Mission of Christ, Mayhem, OxLxD, Immolation, Casbah, Outrage, Extreme Noise Terror, Deranged, Mass Confusion, Lethal Overdose plus more.

Death Rites is us paying tribute to that era of metal and its history.
